As you know until a few years ago the only alternative to a Church service was a humanist ceremony which of course allows for no religious content. As a Civil Funeral Celebrant  I am able to provide ceremonies that are non religious, religious  or even semi religious and can include music, readings and poetry  -  at a venue of their choosing  –  Home, Chapel of Rest, Service Room or Crematorium  etc.   

Having over fifteen years experience as a professional Toastmaster & Master of Ceremonies  I believe I have the skills necessary to design and provide  for families a  ceremony that will reflect and celebrate the life of their loved ones.

As an Civil  Funeral Celebrant my firm belief is that …. at that  last and  most important  public or private part of their lives, a person’s individual wishes should be paramount in everyone’s thoughts.

My service includes a visit to the family within 24hrs of instruction by the Funeral Director, assistance with planning their ceremony, guidance with -  and writing and delivering the eulogy  ( If required ) whilst always remembering that theirs and their loved ones wishes and beliefs  remain at the very centre of the ceremony. A complete draft of the ceremony will be delivered to the family as soon as possible for their consideration and amendment if necessary.
